Listed below are the energy equation options that are available for Wet Chemistry and NIR Analysis.
Energy Equations for Forages (Ruminants):
Energy estimates can be reported using ADF based equation (PA, NY, CA {for Alfalfa Hay only}) or can be reported using the OARDC Summative Energy Equation (OH).
Energy Equations for Forages (Equines):
Energy estimate Equine DE will be reported using the OARDC Summative Energy Equation (OH), and requires Crude Protein, NDF, NDFCP, Ash, Lignin, and Fat. Also, Equine TDN value is calculated.
Energy Equations for Commodities, Grain Mixes, and TMRs:
Energy estimates will only be reported using the OARDC Summative Energy Equation (OH). This requires Crude Protein, NDF, Ash, Lignin, and Fat.
