Shipping - International
Below is a brief summary of the requirements for shipping a forage sample into the USA for CVAS laboratory analysis. “Complete, detailed shipping instructions and requirements will be forwarded by request. New international accounts should contact our foreign shipping specialist prior to shipping samples by contacting Sharon at sweav@foragelab.com. Please note that only Feeds and Forages can be shipped. We cannot accept any animal products or by-products as they are not included in the import permit.
Sample Preparation
Shipments may arrive at CVAS within two days to two weeks, depending on the schedule of U.S. Customs and Plant Inspection. Regrettably, CVAS can not speed up this process. Taking any of the following steps to help preserve the characteristics of the sample is beneficial due to the possible delays that can occur during the U.S. Government import and inspection process.
-
1. Dry the sample if possible.
-
2. If sending wet samples, vacuum seal the sample, if possible.
-
3. Mark the package "Perishable Samples - Keep Refrigerated".
