Mold and yeast spores are present throughout the environment and can affect crops that are grown during less than ideal conditions. At CVAS we offer two packages for mold and yeast testing.
Mold and Yeast Count
The Mold and Yeast Count package provides the colony forming units per gram (cfu/g) of molds and yeasts in the submitted sample.
Mold Identification
The Mold Identification package provides the mold and yeast count in cfu/g as well as the identification of the mold species that are present. Mold species that can be identified are:
Absidia
Alternaria
Aspergillus
Cladosporium
Fusarium
Mucor
Penicillium
Rhizopus
Scopulariopsis
